This training is hosted through the BLM National Training Center and was originally going to be a three day in-person training, but has now changed to two days/ virtual format. This training is open to all DOI employees and active SOS non-federal partners, and there is no cost. The deadline for registration is next Tuesday, April 22.

May 19-21 2.5 days, In person, Shepherdstown, WV, USFWS NCTC.
This training is hosted through the USFWS National Conservation Training Center and is still slated as an in-person training with a hybrid virtual option. This is open to all DOI agency staff and active SOS non-federal partners. While some parts of this training will have an east coast focus, it is still an appropriate training for anyone involved in SOS.
The room and board cost for this training is $185 (FWS employees) and $210 (non-FWS) per day per person - but there are still many scholarships for room and board are available to anyone who is attending the training. Participants must cover their own transportation to and from the training center, but lodging and on-site food will be provided for scholarship recipients.
*
If you are interested in attending this in-person training, email Kelly Thomas (kelly_thomas at fws.gov by the morning of Friday, April 18 (this Friday). Please also register via the SOS training registration <https://forms.office.com/g/PXwr0yGK3g> form.
Additional SOS trainings
Our last scheduled virtual training is May 14-15.
More SOS trainings in May and June will be scheduled when we have a better idea of when summer crews will be starting. The most up-to-date record of our current training offerings is always the training form link in the SOS website "getting started" section. If you have a training need that is not met by our current offerings, reach out to Sarah Hill and let her know when your crews will need training.
For the seeds,
Sarah
