Hello everyone,
A quick reminder that if you have herbarium vouchers to send to the Smithsonian, this week is your last chance to do so until after the new year. As mentioned on the November collector call and in the November call notes, the folks at the U.S. National Herbarium (the Smithsonian) have asked us to not send anything from Nov 20th through Jan 6th since their staffing is low through the holidays, and they don't want any deliveries to get misplaced. If you can’t send them before Nov 20th and your team is going to be done, make sure you arrange for someone else to send the vouchers after January 6th.
For guidance on shipping materials to the Smithsonian, review “Guide to Herbarium Specimens for SOS” on the SOS website, www.blm.gov/sos , https://www.blm.gov/sites/default/files/docs/2021-10/Guide%20to%20Herbarium%20Specimens%20for%20SOS.pdf
Let me know if you have any questions!

I respectfully acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Nuwe/Nume (Paiute, Shoshone, Bannock) people, as well as other indigenous tribes who traveled through the area known as Idaho who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
