VIRTUAL MEETING: An Assessment of Native Seed Needs and Capacities Public Meeting #9

*Description:

The public is invited to join the Committee on An Assessment of Native Seed Needs and Capacities on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 4:00 - 5:15 pm EDT (via Zoom) as it continues to explore the nation's capacity to supply native seed and plants for ecological restoration and other uses.  A member of the leadership team for Texas Native Seeds will describe how the organization was started and share its approach to plant development for species and ecotypes needed in different parts of the state.  In addition, a member of the Assessment committee will share his experience in building New York City's Greenbelt Native Plant Center as a source of foundation seed for ecotypes of native species that meet local needs.
