Hi Everyone,

The resource below has been brought to my attention by multiple folks as a
better option for geology (and soils). Check it out!

https://casoilresource.lawr.ucdavis.edu/gmap/

You can click “Zoom to location” for any lat/long in the US and it will
give you the soil and geology data. Click on one of the soil series under
"Map Unit Composition" then click "Official Series Description." The first
paragraph of each soil series says what parent material (rock type;
geology) the soil series formed from.

-----------------------

Also, a few questions came up after the call have prompted clarification on
sending seed to Bend:

Each SOS collection must be shipped in its entirety to Bend. So, if you are
collecting on multiple days, please wait until you are finished collecting
and ship all seed together. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Rachel
