This position is located in the Forest Service Washington Headquarters
Office. The incumbent supports national leadership in managing the
National Forest System (NFS) so that habitats will support threatened,
endangered and sensitive plant species, native plant species, and
pollinator populations in harmony with other uses of the land, in order to
achieve maximum benefits of multiple use management. Responsible for
developing, coordinating and evaluating national comprehensive programs
regarding threatened, endangered and sensitive plants, native plants, and
pollinator habitats, and providing program and technical leadership for
botany program implementation on NFS lands.
