[PCA] 2 Florida native wildflower grant programs open

The Florida Wildflower Foundation invites applications in two grant
programs:

* The La Florida, Land of Flowers, Community Grant Program aids Florida
counties that have adopted a Wildflower Resolution
<http://flawildflowers.org/resolution.php>  to increase the presence of
native wildflowers. To date, grants are exclusively for government agencies
within the counties of Putnam, Lake, Marion, Brevard, Gadsden, Wakulla, Leon
and Volusia. Any other county adopting an acceptable Wildflower Resolution
before the application period closes on May 13 will be eligible. Grants will
be awarded in the form of a $500 certificate to purchase Florida native
wildflower seeds or plants (but not both). While the recipient and manager
of these grants must be a government agency, applicants are strongly
encouraged to partner with local community groups, non-profit organizations
and businesses. The online application

* Teachers throughout Florida may apply for a Seeds for Schools
<http://flawildflowers.org/seedsforschools.php>  grant that provides seeds
for campus wildflower gardens. The program awards grants of wildflower seeds
to public and private school teachers as well as home schoolers who will
share the garden with three or more home-school families. Grants include $30
of seed, plus classroom and garden resources. The application period will
end on or before April 18, pending the receipt of 100 applications. Click
