The article is misleading in stating that no mosses are endangered or
threatened, suggesting that there are no rare species to be concerned about. 
There may be no Federally-listed species, but there are species classified as
Endangered, Threatened, or otherwise rare in various states.  Also, the lack of
federal listing does not indicate so much an abundance of moss species but
rather a lack of information to assess their rarity.  Because different moss
species often grow together, just like vascular plants, it is likely that "rare"
species are incidently being harvested along with the target species.
