This annual meeting of six leading professional botanical societies (the American Bryological and Lichenological Society, the American Fern Society, the American Society of Plant Taxonomists, the International Society of Plant Taxonomy, the Society for Herbarium Curators, and the Botanical Society of America) brings together a diverse mix of researchers, professors, educators, government employees and motivated graduate and undergraduate students, all focused on what’s new in the botanical sciences.

Botany 2025 in Palm Springs, CA promises to be an exciting meeting as we have not held our conference in California for two decades. We anticipate over 1000 participants from around the world to present over 700 scientific contributions including special symposia, papers, posters, and special lectures. A full slate of field trips and scientific and educational workshops will round out the program.

Registration for Botany 2025 includes access to the Special Lectures, Symposia, Colloquia, Contributed Talks, Posters, Field Trips, and Workshops, though Workshops and Field Trips have an additional cost and will be available to add to your registration at a later time. Enjoy coffee and tea during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks Sunday through Wednesday. Breaks will feature beverages only. Some ticketed events include breakfast or lunch, but there are plenty of walkable options for meals as well as a "Cash and Carry" lunch cart from Sunday - Wednesday at the conference hotel.

Monday,  July 28 - Scientific Sessions began at 8:00 AM, American Fern Society Luncheon, Careers in Botany Luncheon, California Botanists Brown Bag Lunch, All Society Poster Session, Paleobotanical Section Banquet, Student Social and Networking Event  Exhibit Hall open 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Tuesday,  July 29 - University Breakfasts, Scientific Sessions began at 8:00 AM, Kaplan Memorial Lecture and Reception, Affinity Receptions, ASPT Incoming President Lecture & Awards Reception, Botany and Dragons Game night, Exhibit Hall open 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday, July 30 - Scientific Sessions began at 8:00 am, BSA Legacy Society Reception, BSA Incoming President Lecture & Awards Ceremony, Celebrate!  Exhibit Hall open 8:00 am - 4:00 pm - All Posters need to be removed by 5:00 pm
