Reed Berkendorf, a MS students at Northwestern University and previous Conservation Land Management intern, has been working with people at NOAA to make these guides to the flora of the western US. They have found that people often skipped important steps in ID process (orders) and often got family wrong. Plus he went through all the floras, identified traits which are often important and either took photos OR made drawings to help get people to get them down to tribes.

These are free to distribute. They are an amazing resource that more people could use.
