*Deadline: 06/28/2019



*Overview: The position is a permanent-full time position as zone botanist
on the Tongass N.F. covering Prince of Wales Island (Craig and Thorne Bay
Ranger Districts) and the Ketchikan-Misty-Fjords Ranger District. The duty
station is Ketchikan, working for the Forest Ecology, Botany and Invasive
Species Program Manager. Serves as a botanist covering a large geographic
area, encompassing three Ranger Districts on the Southern portion of
Tongass National Forest (Ketchikan-Misty Fjords, Craig and Thorne Bay
Districts).

*Position: Restoration Ecology Technician



*Location: Ketchikan, AK, US Forest Service, Tongass National Forest



*Compensation: GS 7 - 9 $46,859 to $74,510 per year



*Who may apply: Open to the public. Degree: botany; or basic plant science
that included at least 24 semester hours in botany. OR Combination of
education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in botany or basic
plant science that included at least 24 semester hours in botany, as shown
above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. You must have
one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal
service. OR One (1) year of progressively higher level graduate education
leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree in a
plant related field of study from an accredited institution. OR The
successful combination of specialized experience and graduate level
education (beyond 18 semester hours) that together meets the qualification
requirements for this position.
