SOS Collectors's Call Notes
November 10
There were 19 participants on the call.
Most interns have left or are leaving their posts soon. Hopefully they
wrapped up the SOS closeout materials before they left.
- Please send all data sheets, photos and annual reports to the National
Coordinating Office (mahaidet at blm.gov) by Dec. 15.
- Please send seed and data sheets to the Bend Seed Extractory by Dec.
15.
- Please send voucher specimens and labels to the Smithsonian Herbarium
Clearance forms: Clearance forms are so offices may request back current
year collection overages. Always be sure to indicate the FedEx account
number for billing as well as your intended use of the material. Clearance
forms without this information will not be processed. Due to the upcoming
holidays Bend may not be able to guarantee any more priority requests
before January 1. *** Please note, if you would like only a portion of the
remaining balance returned to your office there will be a $30 fee. To avoid
this additional fee, send all of the remaining balance to a single location.
Update from Bend: 1,007 seed lots received as of last Friday and about 50
more had been received at the time of the call. Bend has completed cleaning
241 of those seed lots as of November 1. Seed lots have been looking good
and the emails from all the collectors have been appreciated. We would
really love to see all of the 2015 collections shipped here before the week
of Christmas.
Web-hosted databases testing will begin soon. Stay tuned if you offered to
test the system - Megan will be contacting folks soon.
