SOS Collectors’ Call

October 14, 2014

There were 41 participants on the call.

This call addressed year end wrap up, collections accounting, shipping and
return requests.

Call Notification: State and Field Office SOS leads are now getting
Calendar reminders for the SOS call. Please invite interns on your teams as
they should be in on these calls as well.

National Office Update - 550 collection data sheets have been received by
the National Coordinating Office. Please send data sheets as soon as they
are complete so we may work on data entry. Photos may be sent using
GoogleDrive or via mail in padded envelope.

Bend Update - 800 collections received at Bend.

Smithsonian Update - Meghann Toner will be the primary contact for all SOS
collections (tonerm at si.edu). Please be sure to include appropriate
paperwork (transmittal notice, labels). Vouchers should be unmounted and
data sheets do not need to be sent.
The next call will be Nov. 4, 2014.
