Kay and Shayla,
I thought of Tradescantia seeds also when I first looked at them, but after manipulating the photos - magnification, brightness, contrast, etc, I don't think this is a Tradescantia. Besides, I just finished cleaning Tradescantia ohiensis seeds and the symmetry and architecture of this species do not match. It is possible that it could be a different species of Tradescantia, but I don't think so.
Dave

Hard to tell, but they somewhat resemble Tradescantia seeds. Are there any Tradescantia spp. in the area? Kay

Hello!
My name is Shayla Burnett, and I am a graduate student at UW. As part of my research project, I am analyzing the seedbank from my field sites in the Thunder Basin. I have identified all the seeds from samples except for this last one. The Seeds of Success information and photos online have been quite helpful in this endeavor, so I was wondering if you would mind taking a look at the attached photos. If you know what it is or have any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you,
Shayla
