SOS Monthly Collectors Call

September 11, 2012


There were 21 participants on the call.

Review of what goes where
                Data Sheets:
Shall be sent to SOS National Office (mahaidet at blm.gov<mailto:mahaidet at blm.gov>)
Shall accompany seed to Bend Seed Extractory
Shall accompany herbarium vouchers to various repositories
Shall be kept on record in your office
Photos:
Shall be sent to SOS National Office via mail (see http://www.nps.gov/plants/sos/index.htm for contact info)
**Please use a padded envelope and cd case so the cd is not damaged
Annual Report:
Shall be sent to SOS National Office (mahaidet at blm.gov<mailto:mahaidet at blm.gov>)
Deadline = Dec. 31, 2012

Requesting Seed Back
                                Clearance Forms:
Pertain to current year collections processed by Bend (2012 only)
Must be sent to SOS National Office for approval
                                                Must include FedEx number to cover shipping expense
                                                Must provide at least 30 days for the seed to be returned
                                Pre-2012 Bend Inventories:
These requests must be directed to the SOS National Office
Available seed is available for view on the
The original collection team has the first right of refusal to the seed they collected
Process guidance and forms are being drafted
The requestor will be responsible for a $25 retrieval fee and shipping charges

For the SOS annual report, collections should be counted on calendar year.  Please keep track of fiscal year accomplishments for other BLM accounting mechanisms.
