Hi everyone,

I just wanted to update you all on a few things involving Seeds of
Success.

First, we now have a new Collections Data Manager! Mary Byrne comes to us
from the US National Arboretum and will be doing SOS data work and also
other things to do with the SOS program.

With Mary's help, I've tried to add all the current collectors, from BLM
employees to botanic garden folks to interns. If you know of other folks
involved with Seeds of Success, please let me know and I can add them to
the list. Information on subscribing, posting, and unsubscribing to the
list can always be found at http://www.nps.gov/plants/sos/maillist.htm.
We plan to start using the list more often, so if you are no longer
involved with SOS and don't wish to read messages related to it, please
feel free to unsubscribe.

Also in the realm of communication, we're also looking to do a telephone
conference call open to all collectors so everyone can just get a chance
to discuss things with the group. Mary will send out a post to coordinate
a date/time for that.

We've recently updated the protocol to reflect various changes in the
program, make things more clear, and add Mary into the process. Included
in the changes are updates of the SOS Contacts. If your collecting
code/team is not included in the contacts, please let me know so I can add
it! The protocol can be found on the website at
http://www.nps.gov/plants/sos/protocol/index.htm and the specific link for
the Contacts section is http://www.nps.gov/plants/sos/protocol/19.htm

I think that's about it for now, stay tuned for more!
