[PCA] FW: Unique Botanical Resources Internship with the Boise National Forest

 The Northwest Youth Corps and Boise National Forest are partnering in recruiting a  Botany Program Resource Assistant intern.



The Botany Program Resource Assistant will be employed by the Northwest Youth Corp and be based in Boise, ID, in support of the Botany and Ecology programs on the Boise National Forest.  The Resource Assistant will work within the Forest Service botanical resources and ecology programs under the direction and mentorship of a botanist, Forest Ecologist or other botanical professional.  We anticipate the internship will start June 1st and run to January 2023.



The Resource Assistant internship is a unique opportunity in that, at the end of 960 hours of service, the Resource Assistant will qualify for a U.S. Forest Service Direct Hiring Authority and Noncompetitive Hiring Eligibility that is valid for 2 years, once issued.
