*Position: Microbiomes and Global Change Project Coordinator (Academic Coordinator I)



*Description:



The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) in the School of Biological Sciences, University of California, Irvine (UCI), invites applications for an Academic Coordinator to facilitate project management, data management, and program development for a research effort on microbiomes and global change.



The successful candidate will coordinate research, education, and outreach activities across multiple teams studying microbiomes and global change. The Academic Coordinator will support development of a center-scale program that unifies research, training, and outreach objectives across existing programs. Specific duties will include program administration, such as interacting with collaborators, organizing meetings/workshops, developing communications, coordinating program logistics, ordering materials, and assisting with project reports. Data management duties will include database maintenance, implementing data management plans and standards, and ensuring data organization and accessibility. The Academic Coordinator will also be expected to provide input on center-scale proposal development and integration of research, training, and outreach programs.



REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree (PhD preferred) in the environmental sciences, ecology, environmental data science, or a related field. Additional experience with project management, educational programs, and public engagement preferred. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
