In a special issue of the Crop Science journal focused on connecting agriculture, public gardens, and science<https://dl.sciencesocieties.org/publications/cs/tocs/59/6>, BGCI-US contributed an article entitled, "Botanic Gardens Are Important Contributors to Crop Wild Relative Preservation".

The article<https://dl.sciencesocieties.org/publications/cs/articles/59/6/2404> summarizes results of an ex situ analysis conducted in partnership with the United States Botanic Garden, which demonstrate the important contributions botanic gardens make toward backing up U.S. and global crop wild relative species in ex situ collections.
