POST-DOCTORAL PLANT ECOLOGIST/RANGELAND SCIENTIST
USDA - Agricultural Research Service
Position Title, Series and Grade:
Research Ecologist 408 or Research Rangeland Management Specialist 454,
GS-11

Salary Range:
$58,562.00 to 76,131.00 per year

Duties:
The incumbent will work collaboratively with other scientists to
investigate the effects of disturbances in sagebrush steppe ecosystems.
This may include conducting research investigating the effects of livestock
grazing on fire risk and behavior and post-fire plant community recovery.
Duties will also include publishing research results in peer-reviewed
scientific journals.

Qualifications:
Applicants MUST BE A CITIZEN of the United State of America. A recent Ph.D.
in plant community ecology, rangeland science, or close related field is
required.  Experience conducting plant community research is required.
Ability to publish research in peer-reviewed scientific journals is
required.  Experience conduction disturbance research is desired, but not
required.

LOCATION
The incumbent will be station at the Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research
Center in Burns, OR.

START DATE:
Fall 2015/Winter 2016
