JOB SUMMARY:
This position is the Mojave Desert Native Plant Coordinator for the Native
Plant Materials Development Program and management strategy development for
the Mojave Desert. The incumbent will serve as an adviser in matters
relating to native plant materials and management of native plant resources
in the Mojave Desert. This position falls under the Branch of Renewal
Resources staff in the Division of Natural Resources, California State
Office. The Division has primary responsibility for providing statewide
technical program direction, policy and budget development and oversight
for renewable resources for BLM California, as well as analysis, technical
guidance, program liaison with other agencies and constituents.

This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled either by an
Ecologist (series 430) or a Botanist (series 408).  Please see the
