I hope that preserving the genetic diversity of wild relatives of crops are
on the radar screen with this effort, as the U.S. is home to 4,600 wild
relatives of crop plants, from sunflowers and raspberries to rice and sweet
potatoes (Khoury et al., 2013).  -Patricia
