A Philippine orchid and a South African cycad are among the 15 species
featured by the IUCN and TRAFFIC for World Wildlife Day! These two species
are among the more than 30,000 plants and 5,600 animals that are regulated
under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild
Fauna and Flora (CITES) to protect them from being over-exploited through
international trade.

As the world celebrates World Wildlife Day, IUCN and TRAFFIC -- the wildlife
trade monitoring network have produced a photo gallery to highlight the
broad range of species that are threatened by excessive

some of it illegal.    The gallery includes: Chinese Pangolin, Beluga

Bali Starling, Chinese Giant Salamander, African Elephant, Tiger, Burmese
Python, Black Rhinoceros, Giant Armadillo, Oceanic Whitetip, Cowan's
