"Hero for the Planet" New Chair of Center for Plant Conservation

World-renowned scientist, speaker, author and former MacArthur fellow, Dr. 
Peter H. Raven, has been elected chairman of the Center for Plant 
Conservation (CPC), a national non-profit organization dedicated to 
conserving and restoring the endangered native plants of the United 
States. Raven's election was held Friday, September 27 at the autumn 
meeting of the CPC board at Cornell University.
