Environmental Concern is hosting the two following Plant ID courses this
summer. Please pass this posting along to anyone that you think may be
interested.

Update your plant knowledge! Join Environmental Concern in historic St.
Michaels, Maryland for these upcoming courses:

 Wetland Plant Identification Basics:

July 25-26 **Registration deadline Friday, July 13th**

Designed to improve wetland vegetation identification, this two-day
field course will focus on both tidal and non-tidal wetland plant
identification. Emphasis will be on key field characteristics of select
vascular plant families. Instructor-led and group keying will teach the
necessary skills for field ID of wetland indicator species. Leslie
Hunter-Cario, Instructor Fee: $300

 Grasses, Sedges and Rushes Identification:

August 13-16

A solid understanding of grasses, sedges, and rushes is useful for many
wetland, surveying and field positions. This four-day course will focus
on identification of these tricky members of the plant kingdom.
Participants will leave with an understanding of the families, family
subdivisions, and genera of the often confusing species of grasses,
sedges, and rushes (wetland and upland). William Sipple, Instructor
Fee: $700

Also open for registration - Hydric Soils August 29-30th and Wetland
Delineation September 10-14th.
