Winter Woody Plant Identification: March 5-6
There are many times when the leaves are gone and no flowers are present, yet the identity of the tree must still be determined. This class will give participants the skills to overcome the challenges presented by the winter form of trees and shrubs. This two‐day course will give wetland professionals a competitive edge when delineating wetlands through vegetation analysis. Numerous woody plant species will be identified through lectures, field trips, and field/lab keying. Background in botany preferred, but not necessary.
Instructor: Bill Sipple
Date: March 5 - 6, 2012
Location: Environmental Concern, St. Michaels, MD
Cost: $400
