Are we making progress on plant conservation in the United States?

BGCI US and the Plant Conservation Alliance are working to answer this question, and we’ve developed a survey that lets everyone involved in plant conservation* in the U.S. easily report their efforts and help guide future plant conservation activities. Whether you work at a government agency, academic institution, or the private sector, or if you work or volunteer at a conservation organization, we want to make sure your contributions to conserving America's native plants are counted.

We need your help to make this project a success. Please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NationalFramework to take the survey now.

The survey contains 20 questions, will take 10-15 minutes to complete, and will be open until April 30, 2011. Results will be published in a freely-available report , and used to measure progress toward the PCA's National Framework for Progress in Plant Conservation while helping to guide its evolution. Please see www.bgci.org/usa/PCAProgress for more information about this project.

Thank you for your participation!
Andrea

*For the purposes of this project, plant conservation is broadly defined as any activity that helps protect native plants by ensuring that native plant populations and their communities are maintained, enhanced, and restored. This includes research, monitoring, restoration, management, as well as education and outreach.
