[PCA] Forest Service Grassland, Shrubland and Desert Science Program - GSD Update

The USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station's latest Grassland, Shrubland and Desert Ecosystems' November Update  is now available on the RMRS homepage at http://www.fs.fed.us/rmrs.

The November 2011 issue, published by the Station's Grassland, Shrubland and Desert Ecosystems Science Program, features a headline article titled "Restoration on the Range: Healing America's Iconic Landscapes," that addresses the threats to western rangelands and how RMRS research is working to restore the functions of healthy rangeland ecosystems.

Other articles highlight the Great Basin Native Plant Selection and Increase Project; SageSTEP: Restoring Sagebrush Communities; Fire's Role in the Ecology of the Shortgrass Steppe; and Stocktype Trials: Boosting Outplanting Performance.
