EAST PEORIA, Ill.

Nearly 20 years ago, a teacher and two men committed to native plants 
started a prairie and tree arboretum at Neil Armstrong School in East 
Peoria. Those three organizers retired long ago but their legacy is used 
regularly by teachers and students today at the school.
