Greetings,

The Florida Wildflower Foundation is seeking proposals for compiling a
literature search on scientific articles, papers and publications on
wildflowers native to Florida. The literature search results will be
compiled into a searchable database that can be updated periodically.

The search should identify species referenced in the articles, the type of
research conducted, categorization of the article (i.e., restoration, seed
ecology, gene flow, production techniques, etc.), and other categories. The
recipient of the literature search grant will be responsible for developing
a non-proprietary database spreadsheet in conjunction with the Foundation's
research committee and botanists and ecologists consulted by the research
committee.

Proposals must be submitted by Dec. 14, 2009. Payments will be made based on
progress and delivery of a functioning database, which will become the
property of the Foundation. The Foundation intends to make the database
available to the public through its Web site. The work will be conducted
between Feb. 1, 2010, and Aug. 31, 2010.

Email proposals to wildflower.research at gmail.com no later than Dec. 14.
Questions? Contact Terry Zinn, Research chair: 386-365-1739.
