Hi all,

NRCS is hiring a new Wetland Specialist (Biologist) position in Tangent
or Salem, Oregon.  The incumbent will primarily provide leadership and
assistance on wetland restoration activities associated with
implementing the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) and conduct wetland
determinations to ensure landowner compliance with the Swampbuster
provisions of the Food Security Act.  Other duties will include wetland
easement acquisition, management, and monitoring, as well as, technical
assistance to field offices on biology-related issues.  This is a GS-11
position ($56,411 - $73,329) that covers the northwest portion of Oregon
(from about Eugene to Astoria).

We need a self-starter who has a good rapport with private landowners
and partners and has a strong background in wetland restoration,
management, compliance issues, and conservation.  Please pass this along
