SALARY RANGE: 65,315.00 - 84,913.00 USD per year
OPEN PERIOD: Monday, September 01, 2008 to Wednesday, October 01, 2008
SERIES & GRADE: GS-0430-12/12
POSITION INFORMATION: This is a career or career-conditional appointment. 
This is a permanent, full-time position.

DUTY LOCATIONS: 1 vacancy - Cheyenne, WY

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: All U.S. citizens; no previous Federal service is 
required.

Relocation expenses are not authorized.  Travel, transportation and
relocation expenses will not be paid by the Department of the
Interior.  Any travel, transportation and relocation expenses
associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the
responsibility of the selected employee.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming manages over 18 million
surface acres of public land and an additional 23 million acres of
federal mineral estate. These public lands are held in trust for the
enjoyment of, and use by, the American people.

Our Mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of
the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future
generations.

This position is located in the Wyoming State Office, Division of
Resource Policy and Management.

To qualify for this position you must meet the education
requirements stated under "Qualifications and Evaluations" and have
1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower
grade in the federal service as a Botanist or in a directly related
position.

Specialized experience is experience as a professional Botanist or
in a directly related field that included application of
professional botany concepts, techniques and practices to lead a
program of botany, threatened and endangered and sensitive plants and
vegetation monitoring for the Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming.
