Make Your Community a Wildlife Friendly Zone!

This winter (2008) The National Wildlife Federation and Elaine Tholen will 
host a Habitat Stewards training, a highly acclaimed series created by the 
National Wildlife Federation.  Individuals who complete this program will 
become "certified" Habitat Stewards and will be equipped with the 
knowledge to help residents in their communities transform their backyards 
into wildlife habitat.

Workshop Details:

- Participants are required to attend all classes to become certified 
Habitat Stewards.
- The program fee is $50.00 and includes the Habitat Stewards training 
manual, field guides, and all workshop materials.
- All participants are required to submit a background check provided by 
NWF prior to attending the training sessions.
- As part of the training, Habitat Stewards are asked to commit to 
volunteering 30 hours following their training as a Habitat Steward.

Training Series Schedule:

Saturday, February 23 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at National Wildlife 
Federation in Reston, VA

Sunday, March 2 from 12:00 noon to 5 p.m. Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, 
Vienna, VA

Saturday, March 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at National Wildlife Federation in 
Reston, VA

                Class Size is Limited. Register Early!
