ETHNOBOTANY SYMPOSIUM

One half day will be dedicated to the Ethnobotany Symposium with speakers 
from around the country.  We expect individuals from many different 
backgrounds and tribal members with interest in the use of native plant 
materials.  Please join us for such topics as: Cultivation of Native Seeds 
to Rehabilitate Damaged Rangeland in Nevada,  Growing Native Plants, 
Traditional Knowledge of Native Plants, Endangered Traditional Foods, 
Restoration Projects for Culturally Important Plants, Traditional 
Knowledge and Rangeland Conservation, Contemporary Plant Management for 
Basketry and Traditional Uses, Ethnobotanical Materials, Medicinal Plant 
Knowledge and Conservation, Reviving Traditional Plant Uses, Traditional 
Plant Use & Management Practices, Edible Plant Knowledge, How Native Uses 
Shaped Native Landscapes.  Dyes Made from Native Plants.  Bow Making and 
Stave Trees.  A call for papers began in July 2006.
