[PCA] Job opening: Policy Specialist for State Wildlife Conservation

National Wildlife Federation, America's conservation organization passionate about protecting wildlife for our children's future, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated worker to serve as Policy Specialist for State Wildlife Conservation. Working closely with NWF's state affiliates, this person will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing NWF's strategies on funding for state-based wildlife conservation, and advocating for such funding
Building momentum behind State Wildlife Action Plans, with an emphasis on education, training and coalition-building
Advocacy on and analysis of state-level wildlife conservation policy
Qualifications:
Minimum six years experience in conservation policy or advocacy, particularly at the state level.
BA required. A major or advanced degree in environmental policy, wildlife biology or other related topics desired.
Knowledge and expertise on state legislatures and agencies
Knowledge and expertise on wildlife conservation laws, programs and policies. Familiarity with state ballot initiatives and federal budget and appropriations processes a plus.
