[PCA] Maryland House Bill 1100

Thanks for the info.  Is anyone aware of any issues with this bill?  I was wondering about the inclusion of "naturalized species."

FYI - A hearing on HB1100, entitled "Natural Landscape Design - Noxious
Weeds - Prohibitions", is scheduled before the House Environmental
Matters Committee at 1 p.m. on March 3, 2004.  MDA will officially amend
all portions of the bill relating to noxious weeds.  Others in MISC
might be interested in other provisions in the bill.  You can link to it

Folks,

Has anyone been tracking this legislation? It sounds like it would keep
local weed ordinances from being anti-native plants,  but I have not
seen the entire bill.  Here is the summary:

	HB 1100  Natural Landscape Design - Noxious Weeds - Prohibitions

	Providing that specified provisions prohibiting the growth of
noxious weeds do not apply under specified circumstances; providing
that, subject to specified exceptions, a person may grow native or
naturalized plants to any height as part of a natural landscape design;
permitting the unaided growth of a noxious weed under specified
circumstances; prohibiting a local jurisdiction from restricting the use
of native or naturalized plants in a natural landscape design; etc. 

Does anyone have a copy of the full bill?
