Please join this event honoring indigenous knowledge and the storytelling
traditions of Native people in culture and conservation. Native American
students in the conservation field and additional guests from the U.S. Fish
and Wildlife Service will share their stories and provide perspectives on
why Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) is important for natural
resource decision making. TEK plays a prominent role in Native American
culture and adaptation to the environment, and is increasingly being
considered in conservation based decision-making.
