I am sad to have just learned of Jim Duke's passing. In his unassuming ways
he had major impacts on the way we study and celebrate medicinal plants
traditional knowledge. A master storyteller, I will never forget his tale
of pursuing fava beans as a botanical substitute for viagra! A talented
folk musician and composer, his wit was subtle and enormous all at once -
as with his musical collection, entitled "The Herbalbum." He touched so
many lives and his loss will be deeply felt.

The American Botanical Council plans to release an extensive tribute soon.
You can see their message here:

With heartfelt sadness,
Patricia
