Greetings people,

Friends Walter, Tianna and Simon are kicking off a group of farmers,
growers,
gardeners, producers interested in improving soil fertility.

*Workshop 1*
Understanding Your Soil
Saturday, March 15 2014, 12 Noon to about 1:30 - 2:00 p.m.
Table on Ten, ground level, Bloomville
No Cost

* Why a soil test is important
* How to read a soil test
* What action to take based on soil test results
* Sourcing and buying minerals
* Mineralization: best practices - equipment review

Mineral-rich soils lead to mineral-rich crops which provide better
nutrition for livestock and people. Minerals coming from vegetative
sources are more bioavailable than any manufactured supplement, no
matter how technologically advanced. Mineral rich soils make better
tasting crops too.

Community event. Farmer-to-farmer, gardener-to-gardener.

Just grab a beverage and/or food from Inez upstairs!

*Presenters are Introducing:*
Tilthy Rich Soil fertility is the main building block for all we do,
whether it's
gardening, farming, milk, meat, or fiber production. Come learn how
to develop techniques and share tools for increasing yield and
developing nutrient-dense food and pastures. Did you know that
Delaware County soil is deficient in all of the major, minor, and
trace minerals needed for healthy soil? We'll learn what they are and
how to amend them, and more.
