[MPWG] Greetings and Introduction

[Farms Representative]

HI Medicinal Plant Working Group, 

 

My name is Brian. Among other things, I'm the North American Buyer for
Mountain Rose Herbs. 

 

I have a working background in North American plant conservation, native
plant nurseries, organic farming, herbalism, and wildcrafting. 

 

Currently, I project for and manage our inventory of North American
cultivated and wildcrafted plants that we offer. 

We are of course concerned about the reasonable harvest of North American
botanicals and I want to do what I can to help plan for and alleviate the
pressures on our ecosystems and forests while helping rural communities and
agencies recognize the importance of Non-Timber Forest Products. 

 

I've joined this group (and others) to engage with those efforts and help
where I can. 

 

An aside, I will be attending the United Plant Savers Conference next month
if others from this listserv are also.
