The Nevada Fish and Wildlife Office (NFWO) is an office complex that 
includes the NFWO and the Fisheries Resource Office in Reno, a sub-office 
in Las Vegas, and the Lahontan National Fish Hatchery in Gardnerville, 
Nevada.  The NFWO Complex provides multiple program/technical support for 
endangered species, including listing and recovery activities, habitat 
conservation plans, safe harbor agreements, and candidate conservation 
agreements, fisheries, habitat conservation and restoration, federal 
activities, and environmental contaminants for accomplishment of national, 
ecoregion, state, and local objectives in Nevada.  Issues in Nevada 
frequently extend beyond the State and Regional boundaries, and affect 
national policy as well as economic, agricultural and political interests 
at the national level. 

This position is located in Las Vegas, Nevada where the incumbent will 
serve as the Deputy to the Assistant Field Supervisor (AFS), who is 
responsible for all Ecological Services activities for the NFWO in Las 
Vegas requiring coordination with the Desert National Wildlife Refuge 
Complex.  The incumbent supports the AFS to address management and 
supervisory responsibilities for issues and activities of the various 
programs under Service authorities.  The incumbent will provide direct 
supervision, guidance and support to subordinate staff and higher levels 
of management.

the Klamath River Basin of Oregon of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
