the e-mail address below if you are able to attend.

This event is part of the Sixth Session of the United Nations Permanent

Hi - Peggy this is the event that I am organizing at the UN - my main
emphasis is that with deforestation causing as much man made carbon
emmisions as the US - and that global climate change policy makers are
starting to integrate prevention of deforestation into climate change
mitigation models/mechanisms - if this happens Indigenouos people have to
have a say and a stake in this mechanism - the deforestaton is happening
on their land. Part of this event will cover this topic and hopefully make
a statement to the World Environment Day in Berlin on June 6 - many thanks
-
David

Please pass this onto anyone you thinks can attend - we have 750 seats to
fill.
