Sustaining Rural Communities in a Changing World:
A Holistic Perspective

September 7-10, 2005

Glouster, Ohio

This year's meeting will bring together forest practitioners from around 
the country to learn about cutting edge developments in the field, share 
strategies and approaches, and have fun. The meeting will help build a 
deeper understanding of the diversity of people and work involved in 
community forestry, provide hand-on skill development and help to create 
a stronger foundation for support of our mutual efforts. Session topics 
and field trips include:

    * Social Justice and Access to Natural Resources
    * Forestry as Sustainable Income from your Land
    * Mediation
    * Enhancing Rural Livelihoods with Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs)
    * Fundamentals of Grant/Proposal Writing
    * Youth and Leadership
    * Watershed and Community Revitalization
    * Forest Workers: Regional and National Perspectives
