The United States Botanic Garden and the Smithsonian Institution's
Department of Botany are pleased to announce the new "Botanical Partners
Lecture Series."  This quarterly lecture series will bring together the
Washington scientific community interested in botanical studies.  Invited
speakers have been chosen to attract participants from a broad spectrum of
the local community who are interested in the botanical sciences.  An
informal reception after the talk will be hosted to promote discussion and
exchange of ideas.  Please share this announcement with colleagues in your
department.

"The Lost Amazon - The Journeys of Richard Evan Schultes, Ethnobotanist"
Dr. Wade Davis, Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society
