Subject: Request for Input on International EDRR Program Survey - Invitation to IPC EDRR Introductory Webinar on June 11, 2013

From: Randy G. Westbrooks, Ph.D.
             Invasive Species Prevention Specialist
             Invasive Plant Control, Inc.
             Whiteville, North Carolina USA

By way of introduction, my name is Randy Westbrooks. Over the past 34 years, I have worked as a U.S. Federal Invasive Species
Prevention Specialist with a focus on developing new approaches for EDRR (Early Detection and Rapid Response). Since retiring from
federal service last year, I have been working with Invasive Plant Control, Inc. <http://www.invasiveplantcontrol.com/> *, and other
partners across the world to develop new capacity for EDRR at all levels of the landscape - local to international.

To assist in this effort, we would appreciate your input on a five question survey on EDRR programs in your country that can be
found at the following link <http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IPCInternationalEDRR>
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IPCInternationalEDRR. Our goal is to research and better understand EDRR programs that have been
implemented worldwide and to understand their successes and failures.

As part of a new International EDRR Outreach Campaign, Invasive Plant Control, Inc. is also hosting a series of free webinars that
provide an overview of the global invasive species problem and explain how invasive species prevention and EDRR can help minimize
the impact of new invaders on public and private lands in every country (to date, 33,759** species of invasive plants have been
documented worldwide).

Please join us for a free introductory webinar on EDRR at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 (2:30 p.m. in
London), to learn more about the Landscape Approach to EDRR and how this seven step conservation strategy can be used to protect
your lands from the biological tsunami that is spreading around the world - in global commerce and travel.

You can sign up for this and other upcoming IPC webinars on the company website at <http://www.invasiveplantcontrol.com/>
http://www.invasiveplantcontrol.com/. Just click on the Ipcwebsolutions Logo to find the calendar of upcoming webinars. I will
also send you another e-mail with a direct link to the IPC EDRR Webinar Registration website. You can also view recorded webinars
from our 2013 Winter-Spring IVS Prevention and EDRR Webinar Series on the company website as well.

Thanks for your input on our International EDRR Programs Questionnaire, and for participating in the IPC EDRR Introductory Webinar
on June 11th. We look forward to hearing from you by e-mail or phone.

Sincerely,

Randy G. Westbrooks

Partnerships Now.. Weeds Won't Wait!

*IPC is a company based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, that works with partners and clients to manage invasive species worldwide.
Our goal is to help countries develop new capacity for preventing the introduction, establishment, and spread of foreign invasive
species (IVS) at all levels of the landscape - from local to national.

** To date, Weed Geographer Rod Randall from Western Australia has documented 33,759 weeds around the world. Of this total,
Biogeographer John Kartesz from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, estimates that over 1,300 species have become introduced and
established in the U.S. Species that are causing billions of dollars in economic harm and pose a direct threat to our natural
resources. Do you know how many introduced invasive plants now occur in your country?
