While some of the job duties do involve managing grants, the job can be so
much more. When I held this position, I became a national expert on
invasive plants. I helped our botanist with field work, was co-author on
scientific publications, created and managed a comprehensive website on
cyanobacteria and on aquatic weeds. I gave talks to lake groups all over
the state, traveled to out of state conferences, and developed educational
products. The work was highly rewarding personally and professionally. I
only moved on to take on the challenge of invasive species in general and
working with aquatic pesticide permits.

The position deserves a highly motivated and dynamic person with a good
understanding of invasive-weed related issues. A good understanding of
lakes and lake issues is desirable. If you are interested, please go to the
link below and apply for the position. If you know somebody that might have
an interest, please forward this announcement to them.
