Dear friends,

I have two students with projects about the impact of alien Pinus eliottii
(american pine) and Tradescantia (spiderwort) on native rainforest plants.
We are measuring alien plant densities and the same for native species with
some interesting results showing negative associations.

My students found many articles about these alien genera but just a few
showing the impact they could cause on native species and thats why I am
asking for help! If anyone in the list have articles about the impact of
these plants, could you please send me a PDF copy?

Also, this year we have the Brazilian Congress of Ecology and I will teach a
quantitative ecology field course in an area with some alien species. My
idea is to develope some short term experiments with the students about
these alien species and the literature could help them too! In Brazil we
dont have many people working in ecological impact of alien plants and I
hope to attract some young students to this area!

Thanks for any help!
