Local group helps lay waste to invasive plant

Scotch broom's yellow blossoms make an eye-catching spectacle, but there 
is a dark side.

Over time broom can choke out many natural species. That's why a group of 
volunteers are gathering tonight to cut down the scraggly plant where it's 
growing profusely along the E&N Trail.
