Dear All,

Till if you can, in spring when nights are above 60 degrees, an 8 inch
thick deep mulch of one inch of chicken manure, and if you can get it,
four inchers of alfalfa hay, then top it off with oak & walnut leaves &
pine leaves.

Keep soggy wet for four months, and let decompose, By summer, should be
well enough rid of the Bermuda grass, to the point that a nice sawdust
mulch a few inches thick should keep it from coming back.

This IS a chemical solution, but what you will be using is natural
herbicide chemicals made by the alfalfa, oak, pine, walnut leaves, and
sawdust. These natural herbicides are called "allelochemicals" and
there are research articles about them in the Journal of Chemical
Ecology.

Sincerely, Craig Dremann, Redwood City, CA (650) 325-7333
