Tasks
A mid-level professional position responsible for coordinating vegetation
management activities within the Central and
Southern Florida Flood Control Project, Stormwater Treatment Areas (STAs)
and other similar impoundments, stewardship
and interim lands, Everglades and Lake Okeechobee. This position will
provide technical assistance to District field stations
and oversee support contracts for canal/levee management, aquatic and
upland invasive species control. This includes
pre-treatment inspection, developing work plans, statement of work and
contractual work orders, contractor monitoring and
oversight and post-treatment inspections.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in biology, agronomy, plant science, or related natural
science is required. Minimum four (4) years of
vegetation management experience required. Valid State of Florida driver's
license. Must have State of Florida Restricted
Pesticide license.
