Dear All,

Almost 40 years ago, Dr. Robert Frenkel pioneered work here in
California on this topic, in his book: "Ruderal Vegetation Along Some
California Roadsides" by RE Frenkel - 1970 - University of California
Press.   

I had the opportunity to visit with Dr. Frenkel at his office at Oregon
State University in 2000, and his professional library is full of very
interesting articles on the subject of roadside weeds.
